About Amanat Ali

Amanat Ali (Urdu: امانت علی ) was born on 10 October 1987, was the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Middle East - Pakistan Challenge 2007 and was recently a finalist on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 who achieved 3rd place in the competition attaining 3,34,314,257 votes in the final two weeks. Many big stars of the Indian entertainment industry such as director, producer, choreographer Farah Khan and Indian ghazal singer Jagjit Singh say that he is a 'great discovery' and 'goes beyond Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007', respectively. Many say that a selection of his performances like 'Hungama Hai Kyon', 'Mitwa' and 'Tujh Se Naraz Nehi Zindagi' were sung in a unique manner, although better than the original. Amanat Ali has many fans in Pakistan and is very popular there.

Biography

During Amanat Ali's teenage years he organized musical shows which he used to get rewarded for. Ali once got a chance to perform with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who awarded him Rs. 500 (about 13 U.S. Dollars) for performing with him.

During Ali's free time, he usually plays cricket, snooker or goes for road trips.

Musical Career

Amanat Ali has sung for the bollywood music director Bappi Lahiri for the movie Bal Ganesh. He has also sung the title song for K.C. Bokadia's Junoon. Currently, Amanat Ali is working on his first personal album, which is expected to be released soon.

Down the memory lane

At the age of 16 I organized a musical show for my school. At my head mistress’s wedding I organized a musical show and got Rs.50000. Also when I met Nusrat fateh Ali khan sahib. I am an ardent fan of his and got an opportunity to perform in his presence. Nusrat sahib was impressed & gave me an “amanat” of Rs 500 as a prize.I still treasure this memorable gift.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007

Amanat was billed to be from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, however, it was later learned that he is originally from Pakistan and around the world. he is an extremely talented singer who can sing all genres. He is the only remaining Pakistani contestant as the rest have been eliminated. Deepika Padukone, star of hit movie Om Shanti Om, says that his best performance was "Ajab Si", originally sang by KK. After Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Amanat Ali went back to his home in Faisalabad, Pakistan to record his first album. he's on a verge of doing projects in india and will sing in upcoming bollywood films.

Throughout the series, Amanat became a huge favourite in India, and even more so in his native Pakistan because of his attitude, his politeness and charisma. He was given so many compliments from renowned musicians, directors and bollywood stars, but that never changed his character and the way he was.  He was modest and quite admirable throughout the series.
